My experience and capability has been at a senior level for the last two decades as a specialist change consultant within the media industry (at the BBC), local government (at Kent County Council), and most recently IT professional services ( at Capita and Capgemini…). My roles have developed a skillset that includes a deep understanding and record of successful delivery within business development, programme and project management, outsourcing, as well as reflective and systemic practice.
My secondment to Business In The Community as the Business Connector for Lambeth enabled me to leverage my skills to champion responsible leadership as a platform to showcase the difference business can make at a local level to impact social challenges. I have lead and co-founded Digisheds CIC, an employer-led ready for work programme for the long-term unemployed who have been marginalised or excluded from mainstream careers through, in most cases, a lack of personalised employability support and development.
My current role is leading TIN Smart Social, a company I founded last year (TIN = Think Innovation…), focused on rewiring CSR through core innovations: The Ideas Journey, Connected Reach and Real Ethics. Getting CSR right means having the vision, values, structures and systems that hold everything together and strengthen an organisation for the journey ahead – through an industrialised sustainable innovation life cycle (benchmark/ideation/incubation/PoC/transformation), which has become my passion. If it’s a journey of consolidation, transformation or innovation, then let’s make that an ethical journey. Innovation is about doing things better. It should also be about doing good.
