BPO experts for Outsource 2 Jamaica conference in Kingston

Two of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry’s leading authorities, head to Jamaica this week for Kingston’s first Outsource 2 Jamaica (O2J) conference, on Wednesday, January 30 at the Spanish Court Hotel.

Max Ribitzky and Brian Cantor are the Executive Director, Business Development and Principal Analyst & CCW Digital Director respectively, at Customer Management Practice (CMP), a global business-to-business company, which is said to be one of the world’s leading customer management companies.

Ribitzky leads ‘markets and vendor research on customer experience trends and strategy’, while Cantor leads ‘all customer experience, contact centre, technology and employee engagement research initiatives’. Cantor is also the managing editor and director for CCW digital, the largest web publication for customer experience professionals.

The two have led dozens of conferences across the six continents and 40 industries on customer experience management, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics process automation, technology in banking, logistics and other sectors. It will be their first time to the island.

The power-packed conference will include a series of panels and workshops led by local industry leaders and key stakeholders such as Audrey Tugwell Henry, EVP of Retail Banking at Scotiabank, Howard Mitchell, President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, Yoni Epstein, Chairman of the Global Skills Board and CEO of itelBPO, Debra Fraser, CEO of Caribbean HR Solutions, Senator Ruel Reid, Minister of Education, Youth and Information.

Max Ribitzky, CMP’s VP of business development and Go to Market practice lead is exciting about presenting and engaging with Jamaican audience. Ribitzky hopes to “share insights on what the modern enterprise client look for in an outsourcing partner and how do progressive BPO’s add value, differentiate and win at business”.

The one-day conference, which is hosted by the Business Process Industry Association of Jamaica (BPIAJ) aims to promote the capital city of Kingston as a burgeoning outsourcing location for global services in the Caribbean.

The O2J Eastern Conference has over 100 confirmed attendees, who will leave with insights, best practices and industry trends and tools to modernise Jamaica’s fastest growing industry, according to Gloria Henry, President of the BPIAJ.

“As our Jamaican cluster expands, we increase our activities to match the evolving needs. It is in this regard that we are kick-starting 2019 with an O2J Eastern Conference. This year, our efforts will be dedicated to growing the Jamaican sector up the value chain and expanding knowledge process outsourcing. At the heart of the business are process, people and culture and so our theme has been aptly chosen to reflect just that Global Services: Transforming Processes, People and Culture,” she said.

Henry also said that companies should expect to leave the conference with ways to become more progressive BPOs, add value to its offerings, differentiate and win new business, as we continue to grow the local industry and remain a driving force worldwide.

The BPIAJ will host its Outsource 2 Jamaica Symposium and Expo on April 11 and 12 in Montego Bay
